Summary
IronDev challenged teams to make a collaborative, distributed virtual environment to showcase augmented and virtual reality technology.
To meet the 2020 I/ITSEC IronDev challenge the GRILL® team chose to create a distributed, collaborative UAV search and rescue simulation. The team won the People's Choice award for the project.

Outcomes and Additional Information
This simulation allowed for the operation of multiple UAVs, the visualization of each drone feed in the operation, collaborative mission planning, and it situational awareness information through target recognition and live positional data.
Users gain experience in creating flight paths and work together to efficiently identify targets, manage workload, and conduct search and rescue operations.
The simulation features realistic terrain as well as UAV flight operations and physics.
